Partner Hermès Marangos comments in The Times in relation to businesses’ potential liabilities, following the cold snap at the beginning of March.
Hermès’ comments were published in The Times on 8 March 2018, which can be found here.
“’You were praying for snow because you wanted an excuse for failing to deliver on time,’ is sometimes the charge,”
“Or, ‘It was your fault because you had not installed a back-up electricity supply’. Right now insurers will be looking closely at these issues. At the end of the day, some businesses will need to admit that they have liabilities because they didn’t deliver.”
