Biography

Camille specialises in internal investigations and compliance, and advises the Firm’s clients on white-collar crime issues, the implementation of compliance and remedial programmes, crisis management and civil fraud matters.

Camille has significant experience in litigation relating to white-collar crimes and corporate compliance. Her experience includes implementing compliance programmes and providing assistance to international corporations in the context of controls by the French Anti-corruption Agency (FAA). Camille also worked in the Public Prosecutor’s office of the Paris Commercial Court, getting first-hand experience on how French authorities investigate corporations and analyse the defenses they can put forward.

Prior to joining Signature Litigation, Camille trained in major international law firms in Paris where she notably handled, in addition to compliance/white collar crimes cases, cross-border commercial litigation, product liability and insolvency proceedings. This training allows her to have a unique approach when handling cross-practices litigation issues, such as, for instance, criminal proceedings related to product defects or commercial malpractices.

Camille studied at the Sorbonne, Descartes University in Paris and at King’s College London.

  • Assisting international companies during their control by the French Anti-corruption Agency (AFA) at the questionnaire and onsite control stages.
  • Assisting a number of companies in the beginning of an investigation from the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF).

Commercial Litigation

  • Acting for an American company on its letter of request to take evidence on a French company under the Hague Convention of 18 March 1970.
  • Drafting a request for a judicial expertise in summary proceedings pursuant to Article 145 of the Code of Civil Procedure.
  • Assisting a large company in an amicable settlement of a dispute and the drafting of a settlement agreement.
    Insolvency proceedings
  • Assisting a large clothing manufacturing company in distress during its conciliation proceedings.

Product liability/Toxic Tort

  • Assisting a tool manufacturer in the scope of criminal proceedings filed following the accident of an employee when using the said tool, while the authorities alleged of a serial defect of the product.
  • Assisting an automotive spare-parts manufacturer in claims filed by plaintiffs alleging that they have developed an asbestos-related disease or on the ground of their anxiety to develop such disease in the future.
  • Drafting a memorandum on the French reform of the social security litigation implemented in January 2019.
