Biography
Nikita is an Associate at Signature Litigation with experience in commercial litigation and product liability, working exclusively for product manufacturers in all the types of litigation they may face.
She is involved in high profile cases for marketplaces and consumer goods manufacturers filed by NGOs, consumers, competitors/business partners and the French market surveillance authorities.
Having trained in the in-house legal teams of major international companies (in the construction, building & healthcare and beverage industries), Nikita knows what clients expect in terms of assistance and reporting, bringing in a very practical approach to case management. As such, she is also the go to person in the Paris office for contract reviews and negotiations.
Nikita is a graduate of the MS/LLM Law and International Management of HEC Paris.
Nikita is also a graduate of the Magister of International and European Business Law of the Faculty of Law of Nancy, during which she studied one year in Ireland at University College Dublin.
She is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
Experience
Product Liability/Product Compliance
- Advising prominent cosmetics manufacturers in the scope of investigations by the EU market surveillance authorities on the composition and labelling of their products.
- Advising leading marketplace in the scope of investigations by the French market surveillance authorities on the safety and compliance of products available on the platform.
- Representing a US electric equipment manufacturer in the scope of investigations ordered following the fire of a major data centre.
- Advising cosmetic manufacturer in the scope of commercial dispute against its packaging and raw material providers.
Toxic Tort / Mass Litigation / Class Action
- Handling a docket of more than 400 cases filed by plaintiffs alleging that they have developed a disease linked to an exposure to chemical substances.
- Representing a manufacturer in over 200 cases filed by plaintiffs alleging that they suffer from the anxiety to develop a disease in the future linked to its products containing chemical substances.
- Assisting Canadian company in providing an Expert report on over 40 collective redress mechanisms around the world.
- Representing construction product manufacturer in the scope of consumer claims filed on the ground that one of their products would not have a long enough life expectancy (over 2,000 claims).
- Assisting expert in toxicology and chemistry in the scope of a claim filed by a company which was not satisfied by the results of the tests obtained and methodology used.
