Specialist International Arbitrator Neil Newing Joins Signature Litigation

Specialist City disputes firm Signature Litigation is delighted to announce that international arbitration lawyer and commercial litigator Neil Newing has joined the firm as Counsel. Prior to joining Signature, Neil was a Legal Director at Eversheds Sutherland.

Neil has over 15 years’ experience in international commercial arbitration, and represents clients across a wide range of sectors. He has particular expertise in the energy sector and oil and gas disputes, and has acted in matters involving: exploration and production, joint ventures, oilfield services, pipeline transportation, product distribution, advising on available protections under relevant investments treaties and disputes concerning carbon emissions. Neil also has considerable experience in corporate disputes relating to M&A transactions and shareholders’ agreements, and disputes in the TMT sector.

Neil’s appointment bolsters an already robust, partner led, arbitration practice, which includes partners Daniel Spendlove, Natalia Chumak and founding partner Graham Huntley. Neil joins an arbitration practice which has been further strengthened by a string of recent high-profile hires, including Ioannis Alexopoulos, Simon Bushell and Josh Wong, formerly of Bryan Cave, Latham & Watkins and DLA Piper respectively. Signature is engaged across a range of complex and high-value arbitration matters, and continues to build its reputation with the hiring of experienced lawyers such as Neil.
